Two large mansion block entrance restorations in Chelsea, London.
Works included the replacement of damaged marble steps and risers and numerous in-situ marble tesserae repairs.

Completed West Academy School replica mosaic project, two murals measuring 9m x 2m and 6m x 2m carried out using a mix of un-glazed ceramic and glass mosaic.
High resolution images and colour-matching produced a full-sized cartoon in reverse to which the mosaic was fabricated using the ‘in-direct’ method before installing on site in April 2024
The original marble mosaic has been installed ready for the eagerly anticipated Museum opening.
The mosaic which incorporates the City Crest was lifted a couple of years ago by us in its entirety together this the original screed backing, measuring approximately 2 metres square and weighing over a ton. Carefully transported to our workshop, stabilised, redundant backing screed removed, mounted into a bespoke metal frame, conserved and recently reinstated to its former glory.
Lovely project, we’ll miss having the mosaic in the workshop.
We are delighted to hear that Coventry Station was awarded as ‘Highly Commended’ at the ‘Urban Heritage’ award in this years ‘Rail Heritage Trust Awards 2023’ for the mosaic in-situ repairs carried out by Mosaic Restoration Company using specially made tiles from Craven Dunnill Jackfield. It was a lovely project to work on made better by the great team on site that supported us during the works.
Today is our 25th anniversary having started the company on 25th November 1998.
Over the years we’ve worked on some fantastic projects with a great team of staff and wonderful Clients to which we are very grateful.

This project nears completion after 2 months work on site carefully lifting damaged mosaic, salvaging / cleaning 1,000’s if individual tesserae, reconstructing and reinstating to precisely match the original. We also carried out numerous in-situ repairs, stabilising, cleaning and finishing treatment to in excess of 200m2 of finely decorated Minton tessellated mosaic and geometric floor tiling.
There is a planned presentation of this project in the New Year in collaboration with our colleague Tracey Cartledge and the Church Fabric Management Team.
A total of 7 from our team worked on this challenging but very rewarding project. We appreciate we often say, worth a visit, but this Church is a must. The Church is very active with numerous events and concerts, great acoustics, fantastic decoration.

In recent years we have tended to work on large contracts on Public and Ecclesiastical Buildings. We have recently decided to revisit these smaller projects as they are great to work on and very appreciated by the individual Client who appreciates the amount of work that goes into them.

New bespoke marble mosaic using a mix of white Carrara and three different tones of grey with black detailing, totalling 18m2. Finished in the workshop and due for installation on site soon.
