"Mosaic Restorations were recently involved in the installation of a new Mosaic aisle and sanctuary floors in our historic church."
Current Projects include:
Sympathetic reconstruction of missing and damaged sections and where necessary are able to specially manufacture replacements.
Mosaic Restoration Co. were contracted to advise how best to relocate a valuable and important original 1960's mosaic.
The projects involved the design, off site fabrication and installation of the mosaics (outside normal working hours) of both projects in early 2017.
Pubs, Restaurants and Shopfronts during 2016
The conservation and reconstruction of a large private residence in Central London.
The reconstruction and installation of three large external wall murals.
The mosaic was accurately templated, reconstructed in our workshop using the traditional ‘reverse method’ before installing on site.
The on site main hotel entrance mosaic installation was completed within two days.
The final phase is due for completion by Summer 2016, ending the extensive three year project.
A great deal of time and effort is required to accurately set-out and install these individual handmade geometric and encaustic floor tiles.
This prestigious project involved the careful manufacture and reinstatement of large missing areas of mosaic.
A condition survey was carried out and it was decided to carefully remove the St Philip Medallion.
By conserving the existing mosaic and reinstating missing sections where necessary the mosaic was restored to its former glory.
Our work to this former large property now a privately owned hotel.
The mosaics were removed with their original backing, prepared and where necessary repaired in our workshop.
